Watsky ft. Kate Nash - Hey, A**hole

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
Aaron Carmack
Album:
Cardboard Castles

Confession time: I have a soft spot for independent female singers. This fact is in part why I was more than a little pumped to see that Watsky had recruited British pop songstress Kate Nash for his new single, Hey, A**hole. On the record, the San Francisco native shows off his versatile flow, making Nash’s effort sound right at home next to his relatable, lyrically sharp effort. Over producer Aaron Carmack’s airy, pop-based production, Watsky admits to struggling with the daily grind, unable to get out of the house, and seemingly stuck in a funk. Sadly, not even Nash’s bubbly, not-so-friendly words of encouragement on the hook seem to help. Lets just hope that his struggles don’t get in the way of Watsky making more genre-bending, personable records, because then we would all lose out. You can find Hey, A**hole on Watsky’s latest album,Cardboard Castles, released last month available for purchase on iTunes (see link above).
