Weekend Money - Clockworkin’

Posted 2 years ago

From dusk to dawn and vice versa, Brooklyn twosome Weekend Money are on their feet, chasing after that paper. In other words, they’re Clockworkin’. On this freshly-minted single, their first feature since dropping off visuals for Yellow this past summer, Baghdaddy‘s thundering percussion and synth-bass blurts accompany crewmate Ness as he spits about his 24/7 hustle. On the hook, the duo draws inspiration from 1950s rock ‘n’ roll classic Rock Around the Clock. Zach Isaac directs and edits the quirky official video. Intended to resemble a ”highly stylized Puff Daddy and Ma$e video from the 90’s,” it packs cameos from Tanya Morgan‘s Donwill, Das Racist alum Heems and many more familiar faces. Fans will be able to find Clockworkin’ on Weekend Money’s Freddy Merkury LP, set to drop digitally next Tuesday, February 4.
