Wes P x Mike Schpitz - Cheddar Speaks

Posted 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Wes P
Album:
The Polo Club

Whenever the word “cheddar” is mentioned in anything hip-hop related, the oh-so-intriguing character Cheddar Bob from the film 8 Mile always seems to come to mind, but I assure you that Jersey Boys duo Wes P and Mike Schpitz’ Cheddar Speaks has absolutely nothing to do with the Eminem-starring flick. Instead the Midwest duo’s premiere Cheddar Speaks refers to a cheese of the green, highly sought after variety. With refreshing confidence the pair drops rhymes addressing their haters and boasting about their paper-chasing ways. Wes P also handles the production on Cheddar Speaks, which has a bit of a vintage feel to it thanks to the beatsmith’s use of horns and other live instruments. While Wes’ The Polo Club album, which Cheddar Speaks will be featured on, won’t be released until later this year, the producer’s Booth-hosted compilation album The Wes Polo Collection is currently available for free stream and download.
