Whitefolkz - Don’t Tell Me

Producer:
Benny Rome (of Drum Majors ATL)
Album:
Year of the Dogg

No matter how patient a person is, everyone has his or her limit. Case in point: D.C. native Whitefolkz, whose latest feature finds him considerably more agitated than back in April, when he expressed unshakable confidence regarding his place in The Waiting Line. On his latest single, the exclusive freestyle series alum pleads with the musical powers that be: “Please Don’t Tell Me to stay, please don’t tell me ‘no;’ please don’t tell me to wait…” Though the artist’s exasperation is evident as he spits over ATL Drum Majors member Benny Rome‘s guitar-driven boardwork, Whitefolkz makes clear that he’s not about to put down the mic any time soon – and that, although he knows he deserves to be played 24/7 on every radio station on the planet, he’s not about to play it safe or switch up his style to attain mass appeal. As frustrated as he sounds at the moment, it’s clear Whitefolkz has the talent and the tenacity to make it. Those craving more far-from-average tunes should keep it locked for the latest on the artist’s Year of the Dogg mixtape, scheduled to hit the ‘net “soon.”
