Wiz Khalifa ft. Akon - Let It Go

Posted 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Jo A and I.D. Labs
Album:

Wiz Khalifa‘s worked his ass off to get to where he is today, but still, even he has to be surprised at the short time it’s taken him to grow from a hungry rap buzzmaker to (as Nathan S. observed in his review of the artist’s latest LP) the hottest artist under 30 in the whole damn game. To his credit, the man hasn’t let fame and success mess with his sense of perspective. On Let It Go, the latest sigle off his sophomore set, the Steel City heavyweight offers a relatively down-to-earth take on his rise to prominence, looking upon his lavish lifestyle with satisfaction and promising to use his position of power to get all his people out the streets. Jo A and I.D. Labs provide an anthemic synth backdrop for his bars, and Akon ties the package together with an appropriately soaring hook. Released December 4, via Atlantic/Rostrum, O.N.I.F.C. is available now wherever fine music is sold.
