Wiz Khalifa - Mary x 3

Posted 4 years ago
Producer:
Cardo On The Beat
Album:
Taylor Allderdice

There are only three things Wiz Khalifa needs to be content in life - and if you haven’t guessed, all three of them are weed. The latest single off his forthcoming street album, Mary x 3 finds the rap hitmaker pledging allegiance to his drug of choice. Cardo On The Beat mans the boards, layering ebbing and flowing synths and submerged vocal samples over a head-nodic percussion rhythm as the Steel City rhymesayer revisits his number-one favorite topic. After all this time rhyming about kush, Wiz still finds some new ground to cover; most notably, he makes some provocative statements about his smoking preferences (“Never smokin’ that bullsh*t with them f*cked-up names and them flavors.”) and calls out his peers for jumping on his blunted bandwagon (“I remember puttin’ weed in my videos, n*ggas thought I was insane / Now every time I turn on a video I see the exact same thing.”). Feeling Wiz Khalifa’s latest love letter to THC? More smokers’ anthems await on his highly-anticipated Taylor Allderdice tape, set to hit the ‘net at a yet-unspecified date in the near future.
