Wrekonize (of ¡MAYDAY!) - Worldwide Choppers [Freestyle]

Posted 5 years ago
Producer:
Michael "Seven" Summers
Album:
Unreleased

The trouble with taking a previously used beat for a freestyle, mash-up, or mixtape track is the inevitable comparison to the original song. Strange Music’s Wrekonize, also a member of iMayday! (who is on tour with Tech N9ne) took on the task of laying down a “freestyle” over his bosses – Tech N9ne – beat for Worldwide Choppers. The familiar Michael “Seven” Summers produced track is heavy with guitars and has a tempo perfect for double-time rapping, which is what the original song is all about, and thus is what Wrekonize’s version brings to the table. Sounding very much like the pattern and cadence that N9ne often uses, Wrekonize lays down blistering run after run of bravado. With the original Worldwide Choppers featuring such a vast array of emcees on it, could Wrek have fit in well alongside Tech, Yelawolf, Busta, and Twista?  You tell us.
