Yelawolf - Let Me Out

In a recent interview Yelawolf said that he was disappointed in Interscope’s lack of support for his radio friendly debut album. After all, he named the album Radioactive, and the label didn’t do much to up the project’s activity on the radio. The solution? Go back to releasing Alabama-centric, f**k you if you don’t like it music like Let Me Out. Producer M16 laces together a banger of a beat built on a stuttering hi-hat, booming bass and an ominous piano line. On the mic Let Me Out is remarkable for Yela’s slow paced flow; although he doesn’t always bust out his trademark double time flow, this is about as slow as you’ll ever hear the Shady representer rhyme. Looking to travel deeper into the Heart of Dixie? You won’t have to wait long. The free project, produced entirely by M16, is due to drop tomorrow, July 4.
