Yonas - Fall Back

Posted 5 years ago
Producer:
Sean Divine
Album:
The Proven Theory

After more DJBooth approved features than I can count (and frankly I’m not a very good counter), you’d think that Yonas wouldn’t have any doubters left – but just in case there’s a skeptic or two still breathing, the Bronx emcee is making sure they Fall Back. Making its worldwide premiere right here, right now, new single Fall Back finds producer Sean Divine crafting a subtly reggae influenced beat that, while dark at times, has enough bounce to warm some of the colder hearts out there. On the lyrical end, Yonas displays the same combination of steady delivery and high quality lyricism we’ve come to expect, explaining that despite how far he’s come, sometimes he feels like he’s on the verge of falling apart - “I’m ‘as broken as they come – you feel like life begun, I feel it’s over and done.” Despite the setbacks, Yonas promises he’s still set on winning, but will Fall Back win over the Booth? If you’re answering yes be sure to keep it locked for both his exclusive DJBooth Freestyle, coming soon, and his upcoming album The Proven Theory, due out sometime this spring.
