Yonas - Girls of Summer

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
Sean Divine and Sean Ross
Album:

With his next mixtape just a few short weeks away, Yonas has liberated one last preliminary song release off the highly-anticipated set. On Girls of Summer (which, contrary to what its title may suggest, has nothing to do with either Don Henley’s Boys of Summer or L.F.O.‘s Summer Girls) the longtime DJBooth favorite continues in the pop-appealing trajectory of previous singles Feel the Love and Pocket Full of Dreams. Backed by Sean Divine and Sean Ross’ effervescent synth production, the Northeastern rhymesayer struggles to choose among the many beautiful women drawn outside by the sunshine and balmy weather. (Round my way, we call that a “good problem.”) Craving more? You’ll find what you seek on The Transition 2: Bright Lights, Big City, dropping digitally on Tuesday, June 25.
