Yonas - Looking For You

Posted 4 years ago
Producer:
DJ Corbett
Album:
The Transition

Don’t worry, no need to look outside to see if there’s a NYC rapper looking into your window. The title of Yonas’ new single and standout from his Transition album may be Looking For You, but he’s not literally looking for you. Well…unless you happen to be a fine female in the mood to party. In that case he’s definitely looking for you. DJ Corbett sets the stage with a guitar driven and eminently feel good beat tailor-made to spark a house party. On the mic Yonas is the same rapper we’ve come to know, a man who openly wants his music to reach the masses but refuses to compromise: “I got that sound for the radio / I’m too damn real they won’t play me so / I take it back the soul like 1986, ’85, ‘84 .” Factor in Yonas flexing his vocal muscles on the hook, and sounding pretty Lenny Kravitz-esque if I do say so myself, and you’ve got yet another reason to cop The Transition, available right now for free stream and download via The DJBooth.
