Young Buck - No Excuses

Once poised to become the next big thing, former (very former) G-Unit member Young Buck has watched his career generally get put on hold because 50 so far refuses to release him from his previous contract. Tired of waiting, Buck has let loose a series of tracks in the last couple weeks, complete with no shortage of G-Unit disses, but No Excuses is easily the best of the new material. Produced by Diskrete, who gives Buck a remarkably soulful beat to work off, No Excuses is more focused on building the community up than tearing another rapper down, with Buck sending shout outs to the recently passed Teddy Pendergrass, the victims of the Haiti earthquake and more. “Iced out chain with the charm to match? Damn, I thought that we was better than that.” We are, sometimes it just takes good music to bring it out in us. No Excuses isn’t currently attached to any project, but 50 or not, Buck’s determined to remain relevant, so stay tuned to and I guarantee this is far from the last time you’ll here some new Buck.
