P.O.L.O. (Playas Only Live Once)

2009 looks to be Young Dro‘s year to break back into the mainstream.  In addition to being featured on the remix of Grand Hustle labelmate Yung L.A.‘s current smash-hit, Ain’t I, his current single, Take Off (also assisted by L.A.) has also started to pick up some notable buzz, peaking at #4 on our Rap Chart.  Though his climb continues, Dro hasn’t forgotten his underground Atlanta roots, as evidenced by new buzz/street single Clean Wit It.  With his witty wordplay on full display, Dro goes more fast-paced and aggressive than usual, likely motivated by 2 Band Geeks’ hard-thumping beat.  Clean Wit It will easily serve its purpose as a record designed to bump heavily in the whip, and will likely earn a spot on numerous mixtapes as well.  At presstime, Dro’s sophomore album, P.O.L.O. (Playas Only Live Once), has no release date.
