Young Jeezy - We Done It Again

Album:
None (Promo Single)

After Barack Obama was voted into office for his first term in November 2008, Young Jeezy hooked up with Nas to drop the My President Is Black, the biggest single in an election season full of dope tribute records. So it’s only appropriate that, on the day after his victory over Mitt Romney, the trap-rap heavyweight spits a few bars in honor of the occasion. Like most in the country, Jeezy’s become a little more jaded in the past four years, and new promo cut We Done It Again reflects that change in mood. Though he asserts that the election results are good news for “every ghetto in the world,” he tempers his hopeful attitude with skepticism, reflecting on the precarious state of the union and wondering whether Barack will deliver on his promises in his second term. Producer Sap provides a tense instrumental backdrop that draws attention to the rapper’s words. This cut isn’t attached to any forthcoming project but, as always, you can keep it locked for the latest from Jeezy.
