Yung Joc - Real Hard
From 1968 to 2001, Fred Rogers hosted his highly-successful children’s television show, Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. Roughly eight years since the show ended its 33-year run, an inspired Yung Joc, whose real name is Jasiel Robinson, has chosen to title his forthcoming third studio album, Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood. Though we can guarantee Joc won’t be attempting to bring back the clip-on tie or making any appearances on PBS, he has concocted a new, Da Internz-produced street single entitled Real Hard. With an interesting interplay between Joc’s playful rhyme style and the Chicago production team’s edgy brass bassline, Real Hard is a real easy choice for that next mixtape. Should it catch on, Joc’s project won’t have to compete with ’09 releases from Gorilla Zoe, Cassie and Day26 for label attention.
