10 Most-Played Hip-Hop Songs on Spotify This Week

It's Juice's WRLD and the rest of us are merely streaming in it.
Publish date:

Congratulations, Juice WRLD. The Chicago artist's Sting-sampling smash "Lucid Dreams" is not only his first top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 (No. 9), it's also the most popular song in the United States on the world's biggest streaming service (in addition to representing the timelessness of young angst).

Juice WRLD finds himself in elite company, ahead of industry titans like Kanye WestPost Malone, and Drake, who have a vice grip on hip-hop's upper echelon.

Before we take a look at the complete list, a few friendly observations:

  1. Despite glowing reviews, Kanye West and Kid Cudi's full-length team-up KIDS SEE GHOSTS sees only one of its tracks make the 10 most popular hip-hop songs in its opening week: "Reborn."
  2. The next-closest KIDS SEE GHOSTS track is opener "Feel the Love," which features Pusha-T and earned the 11th most streams last week on Spotify.
  3. Kanye West, Post Malone, and Drake make up eight of the 10 most popular hip-hop songs this week. Yes, even "I'm Upset."
  4. Drake sees four records place in the top 10. Post-Pusha beef, Drake's bottom line is fine.
