10 Most-Played Hip-Hop Songs on Spotify This Week

Drake is king, but where's the 'Queen'?
Publish date:

Son-hiding be damed—it really is the year of Drake. Over half a year since we started running this chart of the 10 most-played songs on Spotify each week—this is week 27—and it's been near domination from the 6 God. With "In My Feelings" hitting it's sixth straight week at No. 1, Drake has held down the top spot 20 out of 27 weeks.

Before we take a look at the complete list, a few friendly observations:

  • Despite the fanfare, Nicki Minaj's Queen failed to place a single song in the top 10 this week, unless you're counting "FEFE," which... is a 6ix9ine record. Queen's most-played song from its original tracklist is "Barbie Dreams," whose 8.7M plays are good enough for the No. 22 most-played hip-hop song this week.
  • DJ Khaled's "No Brainer" is proving to be a slow but steady riser, collecting 25M streams over the last seven days and moving up three spots to No. 2 this week.
  • XXXTENTACION's "SAD!" (515M) is now the controversial late rapper's most-played song of all time, surpassing "Jocelyn Flores" (508M).

The List (all-time streams):

  1. Drake "In My Feelings" (369M)
  2. DJ Khaled "No Brainer" ft. Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper & Quavo (80.8M)
  3. 6ix9ine "FEFE" ft. Nicki Minaj & Murda Beatz (105M)
  4. Travis Scott "SICKO MODE" (57.9M)
  5. Juice WRLD "Lucid Dreams" (304M)
  6. Cardi B "I Like It" w/ Bad Bunny & J Balvin (433M)
  7. Tyga "Taste" ft. Offset (228M)
  9. Post Malone "Better Now" (437M)
  10. Travis Scott "STARGAZING" (48.6M)
