10 Most Played Hip-Hop Songs on Spotify This Week

As the year winds down, it's important to focus on what truly matters: buying holiday gifts for people who you expect to buy you gifts, taking the year's best albums and ranking them so people can argue about your choices, and tuning into this chart to know what the 10 most-played hip-hop songs in the world are.

As always, if you'd prefer the best new songs this week, head to 10 New Songs You Need This Week.

Before we take a look at the complete list, a few friendly observations:

  • 6ix9ine—whose child sex charge is now one of many legal troubles for the controversial rapper—remains behind bars, but his DUMMY BOY album continues to generate numbers, landing two singles in the top 10: "TIC TOC" featuring Lil Baby and "KIKA" featuring Tory Lanez. 6ix9ine has many problems, but racking up streams and coming up with dumbass song titles aren't among them.
  • One of the year's biggest success stories, Juice WRLD's "Lucid Dreams," has failed to make the top 10 for the first time since the week of July 6, when Drake held down all 10 spots with the dominating release of Scorpion. Outside of that one week, "Lucid Dreams" remained a top-10 hip-hop hit on Spotify since the week of May 25, when it entered this chart and hit No. 1 the week of June 15.
  • Despite the social conversation it garnered off the strength of a top-tier JAY-Z verse and an unnecessary slur from Rick Ross, Meek Mill's "What's Free" failed to chart in this week's top 10. Fortunately for Meek, his new song with collaborator-turned-rival-turned-collaborator Drake, "Going Bad," cracked the top six off the strength of over 18 million plays over the last seven days.

The List (all-time streams):
