Rap Music Chart - August 29, 2011
Welcome to the Booth's Top Hip Hop and R&B Chart! As always, your feedback has determined which songs made the cut. Each chart’s lineup is calculated using a special DJBooth.net Formula that takes into account member ratings and reviews as well as features’ overall popularity.
Last week's front-runners, Pusha T.'s "Amen" and Styles P.'s "Harsh," ascend to our Top Hip-Hop and R&B lineup this week, clearing the way for two new features to take the lead. Travis Barker's "Let's Go" and Game's "The City" enter the running on top, debuting along with The Throne's "Lift Off" (in third), Lloyd Banks' "Love Me in the Hood," Red Cafe's "Fly Together" (in 11th) and Young Jeezy's "Rough" (in 16th). Down from our Top Picks, Young Jeezy's "Shake Life," T.I.'s "We Don't Get Down Like Y'all" and Trae tha Truth's "I'm On" drop to sixth, tenth and 12th. Edged out by the new additions, Jared Evan's "Ice Cream (UNcovered)," Asher Roth's "In the Kitchen" and Gilbere Forte's "Burn Me Down" drop out of the running.
