Ab-Soul fans, prepare yourselves. It seems like the wait for a new project may be coming to an end sooner rather than later. The TDE-repping Black Lip Bastard took to Twitter earlier this morning to let the world know that his next album is nearly finished, and just as importantly, will be a love story.

No official album title release date was included (not surprising), so while this is a positive development in the wait for new music from Soulo, there is still no telling when we'll have a copy in our hands or at the least hear a sample. What may be a little surprising is the realization that his third studio album, These Days..., was released only last summer. It's safe to say the album was a bit disappointing to many longtime fans, at least commercially if not critically as well.

Compared to the massive album success seen by Black Hippy comrades Kendrick and ScHoolboy in the last year and a half, it remains to be seen whether Soul can make a similar leap sales-wise. Content-wise, many felt the last album was lacking, considering the promise he's shown throughout his career as one of the more intelligent and enlightened artists in hip-hop. Might this be the fully realized magnum opus that fans feel Soul is capable of? The fact that the album is a "love story" is especially intriguing, and through any references to his relationship with Alori Joh are purely speculation at this point, Ab's struggles with love and emotion have made for some of his finest work to date.

So where does the Ab-Soul fit inside the spectrum of TDE releases? Well, remain confident that Kendrick will continue to ride the TPAB wave for the foreseeable future. Jay Rock is up next with his sophomore full-length, the anticipation for which is growing even stronger off the strength of releases "Money Trees Deuce" and "Gumbo" in recent weeks. With ScHoolboy remaining quiet ever since his very successful Oxymoron release in early 2014, one could guess that in the wake of today's tweets, Ab-Soul might "lap" him with his second project release in that span of time. Furthermore, who could forget about the newest members to the squad, Isaiah Rashad and SZA? We've been fiending for a new project from Isaiah for years now, though despite this tweet about something being "brewing" the wait continues. Same goes for SZA, though despite the lack of details the TDE CEO certainly seems to be excited by her next project.

Ab-Soul, if you're reading this, the world is ready.
