Fashawn has remained mostly quiet since the release of his acclaimed second studio album The Ecology back in February.
The Mass Appeal signee and longtime Booth favorite is, of course, entitled to a break from the studio after delivering such an impressive body of work, but still, the fans need some new Fashawn for the aux cord! Luckily, the Fresno native has recognized this need, and has delivered a very thoughtful “gift for all of his fans,” entitled “100 Bars.”
The record serves as both a celebration of the release of The Ecology, in addition to his forthcoming European tour. Fash details what he’s been up to this summer over the instrumenal from Jay Z’s Memphis Bleek-featured classic “Coming Of Age.” As he states, “In case you was wondering how my Summer was spent, mumbled my way to London and Dublin to Linz, huddled up in the benz hungry for ends. Life in the spotlight on, front of a lens. I kept it 100, ain’t nothing pretend.”
If you are still sleeping on the album, The Ecology is available via iTunes now, and you can grab a free download of “100 Bars” on the Mass Appeal SoundCloud page. Check out the full list of dates (below) and grab tickets (here) for Fashawn’s tour with Exile.
