DJBooth recently sat down with Philadelphia's own Freeway while he was in New York, and the veteran rhymesayer and beard aficionado was notably excited about his upcoming album.

While details are sparse, he assured us that not only will there be "a lot of electricity" on the follow-up to 2012's Diamond in the Ruff and that we'll be getting the best possible Freeway, but also that it will be the "best shit out." Seriously, Freeway has been listening to everything that's been dropping and can definitively say his next LP will be better. Sorry, everyone else.

Freeway also touched on some up-and-coming talent from his city, revealing that he's working on a record with buzzmaker Lil Uzi Vert and that we should expect it soon, as well as detailing what success means to him. His enthusiasm now has us legitimately hyped for the album, so how about a release date Free?
