Boosie Badazz Announces Successful Cancer Surgery

"Surgery went well...God is good! Next step recovery!"

Boosie Badazz is reporting via Instagram that his cancer surgery today was successful.

The announcement came after two weeks of confusion about the Baton Rouge rapper's health after he first announced that he had cancer but then quickly deleted the post from IG. Today though, we got word that he had indeed been diagnosed and operated on and that the cancer cells were indeed successfully removed and was accompanied by #cancersurvivor.

Don Toliver, Tame Impala & 5an: Best of the Week

Don Toliver, Tame Impala, 5an, and more, all had the best new songs on Audiomack this week.

Some good news is due for Boosie and his family, who has had a tumultuous few years, to say the least. The revelation that he had kidney cancer came after his long-awaited release from prison and it’s good to see him find some peace of mind. I’m sure we’ll be seeing new music soon.

Congratulations Boosie, our best to your family and everyone else who's fought cancer. If any good comes from this, hopefully, it will be increased cancer awareness in the hip-hop community. We've seen too many deaths, the world needs more cancer survivors.
