Kanye West Announces Release Date for "SWISH" Album

After months and months of delays, Kanye's new album finally has a release date.

Kanye West had a fairly busy day on Friday.

The Chicago native began the day by releasing a new song entitled "Real Friends" (and a snippet of "No More Parties In LA"), which was promptly removed from his Soundcloud within minutes of the release.

After fixing a "slight distortion in the main loop," a distortion only a perfectionist like Kanye would know existed, West once again uploaded the record. Within minutes of its re-release, editors and fans alike began to praise the effort.

2 Chainz, Central Cee & HoodCelebrityy: Best of the Week

2 Chainz, Central Cee, HoodCelebrityy, and more, all had the best new songs on Audiomack this week.

But Kanye wasn't done there. Roughly eight hours later, the magnanimous artist and producer tweeted the following:

Yes! That's right, ladies and gentlemen; the album that Lamar Odom has heard, the album that Pusha T claimed is "so f**king fire," will finally be upon us on Thursday, February 11.

With four more Friday's on the calendar before the second full week of February ends, and wife Kim Kardashian's claim that West plans to release a new song every Friday, "Real Friends" is potentially the first of five SWISH inclusions that we'll have the chance to hear before the drop date.

2016 just began, but the first quarter of the year promises to be something special. Strap in.
