With our brand new studio currently being built at our NY offices, we took our booth on the road last week, renting out Arlyn Studios in Austin, Texas for several days during SXSW.
There we hosted an open studio session with our partners at Audiomack and Tunecore, extending an invitation to a handful of our favorite artists, from top tier names to some of the most buzzworthy up-and-comers, to slide through and record, all while documenting the entire experience.
How EKKSTACY Beat Writer’s Block to Make His Best Album
Pop anti-hero EKKSTACY finds his aggressive voice on his new album, 'misery.' He breaks down his journey through writer's block for Audiomack World.
One of our first guests was Philadelphia's own Tunji Ige, who stopped by to record not one, but two fresh freestyles. The first, appropriately titled "Austin Freestyle," finds the artist/producer gliding over some laid-back vibes from our own in-house producer T-GUT. Recent shows took their toll on his voice, but Tunji's gravelly vocals still managed to glide as he caught an impressive flow all off the top of the dome.
For more from the independent up-and-comer, take a listen to his recently-released single, "War."
