Earlier this month, while our brand new studio was being constructed at our NY offices, we decided to take our booth on the road, renting out 512 Studios in Austin, Texas for several days during SXSW.
There we hosted an open studio session with our partners at Audiomack and Tunecore, extending an invitation to a handful of our favorite artists, from top tier names to some of the most buzzworthy up-and-comers, to slide through and record, all while documenting the entire experience.
On the heels of Tunji Ige's "Austin Freestyle" and Audio Push's "Down 1," we're back with another exclusive, this time from Chicago natives and SaveMoney emcees Towkio and Joey Purp. On "Body Bags Freestyle," the two trade bars over Windy City producer Smoko Ono's wobbly production, going off-the-top and running through Devin Hester and Elvis references while passing twin sisters off to twin brothers.
For more from Towkio, check out his most recent single "G W M" with Vic Mensa, in to addition last year's stellar .Wav Theoryproject. For more from Joey Purp, we recommend his recently released "Performance Art Freestyle."
