Holy Sh*t You Need to Hear Logic & Tech N9ne Freestyle Backstage

Do you want to watch Tech and Logic take turns speed-rapping backstage? No? Then I'm sorry, we can't be friends.

The reason we call this series "Holy Shit You Need to Hear This" is because the only criteria is that, holy shit, you need to hear this. It could be a brand new song from a superstar artist, it could be a decade's old underground joint. It could be hip-hop, or pop or Mongolian folk music, as long as it makes us want to grab the internet by the ears and demand they listen, it qualifies. Hell, it could even be, say, for example, some backstage footage of two amazing rappers freestyling.

Check this out...

Flex alert, I made this happen (kinda, sorta). When I interviewed Tech N9ne at the GRAMMYs he mentioned that he considered Logic one of the best young rappers doing it, the praise reached Logic's ears, and when his Incredible True Story tour hit Tech's native Kansas City the two made sure to link up. And then boom, a little while later we have some mind-melting freestyling.

What's especially holy shit about this isn't just the actual rapping, it's watching two masters trade notes, tips, experiences. There are only a select few who could relate, who know the intricacies of speed rapping like that, and watching them connect is like watching a unicorn meet another unicorn. Except, instead of a unicorn, they're really fucking dope rappers.

You know what I'm trying to say, the video says more than I ever could. Holy shit...
