Did you recently drop hundreds of dollars on tickets to Drake's "Summer '16" and Kanye West's "Saint Pablo" tour? Well, you might have caught a break on your next concert. As reported by Hypebot, this past Saturday Ticketmaster placed free ticket codes in millions of Ticketmaster accounts to make good on a class-action lawsuit brought against the company in 2003.

At the center of the lawsuit are inflated fees the ticketing giant charged for things such as order processing and delivery. A website, www.ticketfeelitigation.com, was set-up to track the lawsuit, which finally ended in a settlement this past May after over 12 years in the legal system.

So what's the catch? The codes placed in accounts are redeemable for two general admission tickets at specified concert events at Live Nation venues. A notice on the litigation website provides a list of applicable concert events (covering approximately 60% of events according to the settlement) to which the codes can be redeemed and will be available here soon. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and Ticketmaster notes that redemption is subject to "availability and limitations."

Don Toliver, Tame Impala & 5an: Best of the Week

Don Toliver, Tame Impala, 5an, and more, all had the best new songs on Audiomack this week.

The settlement documents noted that "Live Nation has the right but not the obligation to make tickets available at venues other than its amphitheaters." This is important to note as Live Nation, who bought Ticketmaster in 2009, owns many smaller concert venues such as the House of Blues.

If you made ticket purchases between October 21, 1999, and February 27, 2013, you're one of the 50 million people affected and may want to log into your Ticketmaster account, visit the "Active Vouchers" section of the site and see if Christmas came early this year.

A Note From Nathan S: For what it's worth, I checked out my LiveNation/Ticketmaster account, and sure enough, there's a whole gang of vouchers. Instead of outright free tickets, they credited me $4.25 for every ticket I bought over the last few years, and in total that adds up to about a free ticket (or half a ticket to a Beyonce concert.) So seriously, if you bought tickets through Ticketmaster, there could be money waiting for you.

Update: Click here for a full list of eligible events for which the settlement ticket vouchers may be used. Who's excited to see Def Leppard?
