NPR has been killing it with their Tiny Desk Concert series for a while now, but Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals just took things to a whole new level.

In the midst of a banner year for .Paak, he and his group The Free Nationals stopped by the NPR studio to inject some soul into the lives of a lucky few. After kicking things off with perfectly stripped-down performances of “Come Down,” “Heart Don’t Stand A Chance” and “Put Me Thru,” all found on .Paak’s critically acclaimed Malibu album (aka the best of the year, so far), the group decided to to let the audience select the finale, which led to an incredibly smooth rendition of Anderson and Knxwledge’s collaborative track, “Suede.”

Seriously, holy shit, you need to to press play...

As is the norm with his must-see live performances, .Paak not only sings and raps, but also masterfully mans the drums throughout, upholding jazzy tempos while laying down smokey vocals and soulful lyrics. To write that Anderson .Paak is currently expanding what we expect from hip-hop and R&B isn't hyperbole; in fact, it's an understatement.

Take 15 minutes and 37 seconds out of your day and soak up some dopeness.
