With his new album slated for release next month, Mac Miller has dropped off a new CeeLo Green-assisted single, entitled "We."
Unlike the previously-released, glorious pop gem that is "Dang" with Anderson .Paak, a selection that is clearly aiming to reach well beyond hip-hop's borders, "We" is a dreamy soundscape that finds Miller and his Goodie Mob collaborator floating in ambient clouds.
The track's minimal production fits Green's chill vocals like a glove, but make no mistake about it - the star of this show is Miller. His progression as an artist has been well-documented over the past month, but "We" represents yet another step forward for the Pittsburgh native into musical adulthood.
So plug in a pair of headphones (it doesn't even matter if they're quality cans or cheap Apple earbuds), lay back, close your eyes and press play on this delightful treat.
You can thank Miller by pre-ordering a copy of The Divine Feminine, his sophomore major label release, available for digital purchase and stream on September 16.
