Zach de la Rocha Finally Returns, Drops El-P Produced "Digging For Windows"

After a decade-plus of nothing but solo career rumors, the Rage Against The Machine front man is back.

There are few artists who have a fan base as relentlessly hungry as Zach de la Rocha. It’s been eight years since fans of Rage Against The Machine have seen anything close to a release from de la Rocha - which came in the form of the short-lived supergroup One Day As A Lion - yet the potency of his musical output has left legions of diehards unwilling to accept that his days of making music are over, especially as his fellow Rage members have now linked up with Chuck D and B-Real to form the Prophets of Rage supergroup.

Luckily those patient fans were correct, as decade-long rumors of de la Rocha's solo work were solidified today (September 8) with the release of his first solo single, “Digging for Windows,” produced by none other than Run The Jewels’ El-P.

De la Rocha and El-P previously worked together on Run The Jewels 2, with an incredibly rare feature from Zach on the standout selection “Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck),” and on this latest effort it’s clear that the two have a great artistic chemistry, as Zach’s aggressive vocals fit perfectly over a sinister, industrial soundscape from Producto.
