If you’re not familiar with Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot (a.k.a EarthGang) just yet, be prepared to see and hear a lot more of them.

The Atlanta-bred Top Prospects released their well-received Strays With Rabies project almost a year ago today (November 3), and scored big this summer with a placement on DJ Khaled’s no. 1 albumMajor Key alongside J. Cole (though you won't find their names on the list of featured guests).

While we await a new project from the impressive duo, this recent performance for YouTube’s Music Foundry program brings new life to “A.W.O.L.,” a standout cut from Strays With Rabies.

Doctur Dot leads the performance with a soulful rendition of his verse as Johnny Venus wafts incense about the stage, but once the band kicks in and Johnny starts his verse, the duo’s chemistry takes over in an entrancing reimagining of the song. With this performance, EarthGang asserts that their greatness is not strictly relegated to studio magic.

Youtube’s Music Foundry program was started to give promising artists the tools to maximize their career potential, and given EarthGang’s wealth of talent and the effortless greatness of this performance, we see them having a lengthy, influential run.
