Drake Sets New Billboard Charting Milestone with "Fake Love," Passes Eminem

The most popular rapper in the industry has another hit record to his name. Stop me if you've heard this story before.

Drake's newest single is a Top 10 hit. Shocking, right?

Per Billboard, Drake's "Fake Love" debuted at No. 10 this week, vaulting 14 spots in its second week on the chart. This news shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone considering 72 hours after the song's initial release, it was already No. 1 on both the iTunes Top 100 Songs Chart and the Apple Music Top 100 USA Chart. Also, Drake.

Additionally, "Fake Love," which racked up 5.4 million streams on Spotify in its first three days and currently sits at 37.5 million streams, landed at No. 1 on the audio subscription services-based On-Demand Songs streaming chart, charging up seven spots to become the Canadian hitmaker's fifth No. 1 position on the chart since it launched in March of 2012. (In case you were wondering, Drake holds the record for the most No. 1 singles on the On-Demand Songs streaming chart.)

As a result of "Fake Love" landing at No. 10 this week, the 18th top 10 hit of his career, Drake has broken a tie with Eminem for the fourth-most top 10 Hot 100 singles among rap artists and is currently tied with Ludacris for third place. Drake trails only Jay Z (21) and Lil Wayne (19) all time.

Interestingly, this is the third time in 2016 that Drake has surpassed or broken a record previously held by Eminem. Marshall might want to hurry up and finish that new album.
