Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V has been sitting in label purgatory since December 2014—the result of Birdman being a dick—but that hasn't stopped the Young Money head honcho from recording a new album.
On the latest episode of The Nine Club podcast, Wayne revealed that he has completed a new project entitled Funeral.
"I don't have a release date, but I have a whole bunch of good news coming soon," said Wayne. "If you are a Wayne fan, and I know we've been going through a lot of tough times right now, we're about to hold our heads high soon."
Indeed, Wayne fans should be excited. 2016 has been a roller coaster ride for the New Orleans-born rapper, complete with retirement threats, label headaches, and controversial remarks, but a brand new project to kick off 2017 will go a long way toward making people forget about all of the bullshit and reminding fans Wayne is a living legend.
