Holy Sh*t, Gucci Mane Performed a Tiny Desk Concert for NPR

It's not the best performance of 2016, but it's a performance that could only happen in 2016.

In October, Gucci Mane recorded a Tiny Desk concert for NPR. Now, just four days away from the release of his third album of 2016, The Return of East Atlanta Santa, the footage has been released and it's... something.

When Anderson .Paak performed at NPR, we said holy shit. A month later, Saul Williams performed for NPR, and again, we said holy shit. Gucci Mane's actual performance, which includes renditions of "First Day Out," "Waybach" and "Last Time," isn't exactly worthy of a Holy Shit series entry, but seeing his name and NPR in the same sentence is indeed a holy shit moment.

Flanked by longtime collaborator Zaytoven, Guwop does Guwop things during the 10-minute performance, showcasing his infectious smile as he effortlessly delivered his rhymes.

While a Gucci mini concert with a full backing band would have been epic—see Migos' Trap Symphony with Audiomack—the footage does provide a glimpse into the genius of Zaytoven who tickles the ivories with the best of 'em.

Gucci Mane and NPR. Man, 2016 has been a bizarre year.
