The performance is incredible, but those pants? Next level.

Childish Gambino’s newest album "Awaken, My Love!" has been in heavy rotation around these parts since it was released, and after more than a handful of front-to-back listens, “Redbone” is still currently my favorite track.

When I first heard it, I thought surely there had to be some vocal modification done for Gambino to be sounding so Prince-tastic, but in an interview with Triple J, Gambino divulged that there was very little vocal work done on the album.

I think people hear 'Redbone' and are like 'oh, he pitched up his vocals', but there was no vocal pitching on the album — I just sang differently.

I know he said that...but I still didn’t fully believe him. That is until I saw his performance of “Redbone” on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

Glover took the stage with a full backing band, no shirt, no shoes and the most fantastic pants I’ve ever witnessed, and owned every single note of the standout from "Awaken, My Love!", proving that vocal range is among the insane number of talents Donald Glover possesses.

This display of vocal ability comes fresh off the heels of Glover earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy Series (Atlanta), which, when paired with the success of his new album and the chilling perfection of this performance, pretty much solidifies Glover as the modern-day Bo Jackson of entertainment.

Please, Gambino, please take this album on tour...and please sell those pants at your merch booth.
