DJ Crazy Toones, Veteran Producer & Ice Cube's Tour DJ, Dead at 45

The West Coast veteran was best known for his work with Kurupt, Mack 10 and WC.

Veteran DJ and producer Crazy Toones, best known for his work with WC & The Maad Circle in the early-to-mid '90s, has passed away at the age of 45.

According to Ambrosia For Heads, who spoke with Chad Kiser, Crazy Toones' death is believed to be the result of a heart attack.

The brother of West Coast rapper WC and Ice Cube's tour DJ, Crazy Toones' career in the music industry spanned 30 years—including production credits for Ice Cube, Kurupt, Mack 10 and WC.

In a post to his Instagram shortly after the news of Crazy Toones' death made the rounds across the web, DJ Premier wrote that it's "so hard to accept" his loss and that he "could write a book for all the words I have to say about Toones."
