Both Anderson .Paak and Chance The Rapper have made waves over the past few months by teasing collaborations with Flying Lotus and Donald Glover respectively, but talk is cheap in the music business. Freddie Gibbs, Saweetie & Earl Sweatshirt: Best of the Week
Freddie Gibbs, Saweetie, and Earl Sweatshirt, among others, had the best new songs on Audiomack this week.
Of course, a collaborative effort between two of the most in-demand artists in music wouldn't be the first time the pairing has made music together—.Paak's vocals can be heard on "Blessings (Reprise)" from Chance's GRAMMY-nominated Coloring Book.
Unlike Drake, Gucci Mane and Kanye West, who have each been linked to multiple collaborative endeavors over the past six months—several with one another—with little to no tangible proof made public, a future that includes .Paak/Chance joint records doesn't just seem probable, it seems likely.
.Paak is currently working on a brand new album with his band The Free Nationals, while Chance, fresh off the release of a free Christmas mixtape with Jeremih, is busy crafting his official debut album. The start of 2017 has been slow, but things might heat up quickly.
