Mac Miller Dives into Trap, New Banger With Carnage & Madeintyo On The Way

New studio footage shows a snippet of Mac snapping over booming production from DJ Carnage.

Just because Mac Miller's last album was about the various stages of love doesn't mean he can't or won't still turn up at any given moment.

On Wednesday (January 25), genre-blending DJ and producer Carnage offered up a "lil snippet" of a brand new record he's working on with Miller and Atlanta buzzmaker Madeintyo and, got damn, Miller absolutely beasts.

Also in the studio that night, and possibly on the record as well, is buzzing South Florida rapper and producer SmokePurrp, who can be seen in the background of the video.

While new Mac Miller fans might be under the impression this is the Pittsburgh rapper's first foray into trap music, it's most definitely not. On his 2012 mixtape Macadelic, Miller worked with Lex Luger and Juicy J for "Lucky Ass Bitch," and ID Labs producers Big Jerm and Sayez to craft "Loud," perhaps Mac's most epic banger to date.

To date, the video for "Loud" has racked up a ridiculous 40 million views on YouTube, a whopping 27 million more than the most marketable hit off Miller's The Divine Feminine album, "Dang!" Dang.

Is it possible that disappointing sales numbers for The Divine Feminine have Miller calling a sonic audible on his career? We shall soon find out.

If it wasn't for the charting anomaly that is Drake, Miller would have notched his second No. 1 album.
