This evening (February 14), Toronto rapper/producer NAV released his brand new single, "Some Way," featuring The Weeknd. But while NAV receives top billing on "Some Way," the record is largely dominated by The Weeknd, whose vocals are present for nearly the entire three-minute run time.
"Some Way," which is available now on iTunes, is the first single from NAV's forthcoming debut project due out later this month via The Weeknd's XO label and distributed by Republic Records.
The single represents the first retail digital release of NAV's career and his first piece of solo material since "Nothing On Me" was released on SoundCloud in late 2016.
NAV is fresh off a 2016 campaign that included being named to our 10 Rappers Who Are Going to Blow Up in 2017 list, as well as serving as a guest feature on records by Travis Scott ("beibs in the trap") and fellow XO signee Belly ("Re Up").
In late December, producer Metro Boomin revealed on Twitter that he and NAV plan to drop a collaborative album in 2017, but, at this time, it is unclear if their work together will make up NAV's forthcoming full-length.
