DJ Premier Gives Update On ‘PRhyme 2’: It’s “Almost Done"

It's almost PRhyme time again.

It's almost PRhyme time again.

In a newly-published interview with Billboard, DJ Premier revealed he's "one song away" from completely PRhyme 2, the sequel to his 2014 joint album with Royce da 5'9".

"I’m one song away from finishing but we still have to mix and we have features. We still got to get all the features locked down.'

Considering the fact Preem and Royce haven't secured a single feature for the album, a "one song away" status update is slightly misleading, but hey, we'll take whatever we can get.

Though their output over the past four years hasn't been as impressive as Killer Mike and El-P of Run The Jewels, who have earned most of the hip-hop duo headlines—and given their literal track record, the coverage and glory have been justified—the legendary pairing certainly deserves an honorable mention.

News of a second PRhyme album was first revealed last April when Royce excitedly confirmed their plans.
