Russ Captures Second Gold Certification in Three Months for "Losin Control"

Incredibly, the ATL native was able to achieve both certifications without cracking the top 50 of the Billboard Hot 100.

In January, Russ captured the first RIAA certification of his career when his hit single "What They Want" was certified Gold.

Less than three months later, the Columbia Records signee has put another on the board, earning a second Gold plaque for follow-up single "Losin Control."

The single, which was written, produced and engineered by Russ himself, was first released in February of 2016. Over the past 13 months, "Losin Control" has procured 45 million streams on Spotify and 25 million views on YouTube.

Live performance is so important that crafting such a strategy requires input from not just a manager, but also a booking agent.

Incredibly, Russ was able to achieve both certifications without the benefit of "What They Want" or "Losin Control" cracking the top 50 of the Billboard Hot 100.

Russ' current single, "Psycho Pt. 2," which has hit written all over it, has been growing steadily since its release last November, racking up a combined 14.9 million streams across SoundCloud and Spotify, and an additional five million on YouTube.
