Wale's New Album 'SHINE' is "Done," Coming Soon
For the past 15 months, Wale has been working on SHINE, the follow-up to his 2015 full-length album The Album About Nothing.
The MMG emcee is not ready to officially announce a release date for the project, but we can confirm that he has finished recording.
"[It's] done, complete," Wale told us via text.
Since releasing his free Summer on Sunset mixtape last June, Wale has unleashed a slew of singles, including "Smile" with Phil Adé, "Groundhog Day," "Running Back" with Lil Wayne and, most recently, "Fashion Week" with G-Eazy.
On May 5, the DC native will kick off a band-backed, 15-date tour in support of the forthcoming album with a concert at The Tabernacle in Atlanta.
"This is the tour they've been waiting for," said Wale. "[It will be] go-go mixed with hip-hop."
