In January, to the surprise of absolutely nobody, Gucci Mane revealed he was working on yet another a new project entitled DropTopWizop. Five months later, the title of that project has changed—it's now DropTopWop—but its release is imminent.

On Wednesday (May 24), Gucci announced that the 10-track, Metro Boomin-produced album will be released this Friday, May 26, at exactly 10:17 AM EST. Joining Gucci on his eighth official release in the last 365 days will be 2 Chainz, Offset, Rick Ross and Young Dolph.

The release of DropTopWop will follow a blitzkrieg of projects since his release from prison in 2016 (on May 26, of course), including two albums (Everybody LookingThe Return of East Atlanta Santa), one mixtape (Woptober) and four EPs (GucTiggy with Zaytoven, Free Bricks 2K16 (Zone 6 Edition) with Future, 1017 vs. The World with Lil Uzi Vert, 3 for Free).

Apparently, Gucci didn't heed our advice on rethinking his release strategy. Oh well.
