Tech N9ne Earns First Platinum Single of 18-Year Career
Tech N9ne has released 11 albums over the past 18 years, and in the process has generated millions in sales, merch and touring revenue, but prior to this month, he could never add "Platinum-selling artist" to his lengthy résumé.
That all changed on June 20, 2017, however, when "Caribou Lou," an ode to one of the Strange Music head honcho's signature cocktails (a mixture of Bacardi 151 rum, pineapple juice and Malibu rum), was certified Platinum by the RIAA.
