Including his forthcoming commercial mixtape, Still Striving, due out this Friday, August 18, A$AP Ferg has worked with the likes of Big Sean, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Busta Rhymes, Chuck D, Future, Migos, Rick Ross, ScHoolboy Q and Snoop Dogg, among countless others, over the course of his eight-year music career.
Although the A$AP Mob emcee has yet to collaborate with the likes of hip-hop's current big three—Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole—when he was asked during a recent appearance on Sway In The Morning about his current collab wish list, he offered up a few interesting names.
"I would love to work with U2, I'd love to work with Seal," Ferg said. "I actually spoke with Seal about a year ago about, like, getting together and catching some vibes. He said he loves my music and this was around the time he was through stuff with his marriage."
Considering U2's considerable hip-hop history, which includes their recent performance on Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. standout "XXX.," Ferg's desire to work with Bono and his Irish rock band comes as no surprise.
As for Seal, what, exactly, is Ferg waiting for? Get together, man. Catch those vibes! A Seal feature on Still Striving would have moved my interest needle much more than an appearance from the male version of Siri.
