Big K.R.I.T.'s New Album Is "Officially Done and Turned In"

Rap fans rejoice.

Big K.R.I.T. fans rejoice!

Late Thursday evening (August 17), the rapper's longtime manager, Dutch DeNiro, tweeted that the Mississippi rapper and producer's new album is complete and has been turned in, presumably, to K.R.I.T.'s new independent label home.

Since parting ways with Def Jam last summer, Big K.R.I.T. has remained relatively quiet, releasing only a few scattered loosies and a fire guest 16 here and there. His last full-length release was 2014's Cadillactica.

In February, the rap internet went nuts over the possibility of a joint project by K.R.I.T. and longtime collaborator Curren$y, but to date, nothing has materialized.

While there is currently no title or release date set for the impending album, in the meantime, fans can always return to K.R.I.T.'S classic 2012's tape, 4eva N a Day, which might just change how you think about hip-hop.
