Cardi B Makes History Earning Her First No. 1 Single with "Bodak Yellow"

Money moves.

Cardi B is finally all alone at the top of the (Billboard) mountain.

"Bodak Yellow," the rapper's J White-produced breakout smash, has reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 in its 12th week on the chart, becoming the first solo rap song by a female artist to reach No. 1 since "Doo Wop (That Thing)" by Lauryn Hill in 1998.

In addition to being the first female to top the Hot 100 in solo fashion in the past 19 years, Cardi joins Lil Kim ("Lady Marmalade"), Shawnna ("Stand Up") and Iggy Azalea ("Fancy") as one of only five female artists to ever accomplish the feat.

Week over week, "Bodak Yellow" streams jumped 14%, according to Nielsen Music, which helped the record bound No. 2 to No. 1. In total, the song was streamed 46.4 million times over the past seven days.
