French Montana Could Have Signed Desiigner But Kanye Had a Bigger Bag

Remember when Desiigner revealed that there was an 11-label bidding war to secure his artistic services? As it turns out, before the 20-year-old Brooklyn native signed on the dotted line with Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music and Def Jam, French Montana's Coke Boys label was in the running.

On Thursday morning, Montana revealed in an Instagram post that he had the chance to sign Desiigner before Kanye but he knew he wouldn't be able to make a competitive offer.

"I told him get that good music bag," French wrote.
