It's been a minute since Eminem released a studio album (2013's The Marshall Mathers LP 2)—actually, it's been 2,066,400 minutes—but the wait is almost over.
UMG, the parent company of Shady/Aftermath/Interscope, is gearing up to release new albums, according to HDD, from Sam Smith, Taylor Swift and, yes, Eminem, in consecutive weeks next month. Following Smith (11/3) and Swift (11/10), Eminem is rumored to release his ninth full-length LP on Friday, November 17.
Though HDD published this information in their "rumors" section, their track record for breaking album release dates has been fairly impressive. In February, they were the first outlet to report that Future had a second album in as many weeks.
Freddie Gibbs, Saweetie & Earl Sweatshirt: Best of the Week
Freddie Gibbs, Saweetie, and Earl Sweatshirt, among others, had the best new songs on Audiomack this week.
In August, a source at Shady Recordsconfirmed with DJBooth that Eminem had completed work on the album, but wasn't able to provide any additional details on the project.
Editor's Note: A previous version of this article stated that, according to HDD, Eminem's new single, featuring Pink, would be released this Friday, October 13. Since their report was first published, however, HDD has updated their piece, removing that information.
